Nick Ramsden

Nick holds dual positions of Country Managing Director and Director of Equipment Sales for the Separation and Flow Technologies Division for New Zealand.

With the diverse range of products that GEA represent and the numerous industries that GEA can provide Products and Services to, it is not uncommon for us to be working on a $100m+ Spray Dryer project on minute then discussing cans of tail paint the next, or visiting a Brewery or Winery in the morning and a Wastewater treatment facility in the afternoon. The variety is what keeps this role interesting as well as challenging.

Nick came “off the tools” as a Fitter Turner Machinist and entered the world of Equipment Sales, progressing through the ranks over 30+ years working primarily serving the Dairy sector. “It’s incredible how time flies and it’s been exciting watching the development of new technologies over that period of time, many of which born in NZ”, says Nick. “But we can clearly see that there is so much more on the way, particularly in the field of automation and control”.

Nick is married to Tracey and they have 2 daughters, Kate 19 & Emily 16, and they live on a small lifestyle block in Auckland. A lot of Nick’s spare time is consumed by the family hobby of show-jumping horses, but to be fair he is keen on all sports, especially (watching only these days) Football and Rugby. He also likes to get out for a round of golf occasionally.
