Craig Lowry oversees Sales and Service for the Farm Technologies division in New Zealand, based at the GEA Office in Hamilton.
This role is key for managing GEA’s route to market through our nationwide Dealer network and driving collaboration between the GEA dairy equipment and FIL hygiene teams.
Commissioned as an Officer in the NZ Army, Craig has had a diverse career from military service to sales leadership. He honed his sales skills at Fletcher Building, progressing from regional to national sales roles. He then transitioned into Agribusiness as North Island Agribusiness Sales Manager at Meridian Energy before advancing to pivotal positions at LIC Automation (Protrack) and Waikato Milking Systems.
Joining GEA in 2021, Craig says he is driven by the people-centric culture and unique offering. “Our team is passionate about the industry, driving results and helping our customers. The experience and wealth of knowledge from the dairy equipment and FIL team enables us to provide the best advice, from milk harvesting through to animal health.”
Looking at the future of dairy farming, Craig is excited about the development and uptake in herd automation. “With labour constraints being a constant issue, the benefits of technology, automation and decision support will continue to grow. I’m excited to see what a dairy farm will look like in 2025.”
As a water sports enthusiast, you’re bound to find Craig on the lake in his spare time (and apparently all year round), either waterskiing, wakeboarding, or foiling.
