Spray safe the smarter way
10 Jan 2022
Spraying can be a hit-and-miss job at times. Having the certainty of knowing where chemical has been applied or the ability to detect spray drift, by using a spray marker dye, makes the process safer and more cost-effective too.
FIL spray marker dyes are high quality additives that deliver outstanding visibility and performance in challenging environments. Been There (red) and Done That (blue) have been formulated for NZ conditions and have been successfully used by agricultural, turf and industrial spray operators for decades.
Both liquid dyes have unique properties lending them to specific uses. Been There is suited for all water types and performs well in acidic bore water (low pH). The red colouration is very stable once mixed - even allowing for multiple uses of prepared spray. Water-based Done That with its blue pigment has been made primarily with colour blind users in mind, but it also has the advantage of an easy clean up using soap and water.
Compatible with most commonly used NZ herbicides and pesticides these dyes have low toxicity levels - making them safer for the operator and the environment. And with a low dilution rate that’s simple to administer, the dyes provide excellent value for money.
Persistent and highly visible on weeds, grass and other outdoor areas, Been There and Done That stick well on application, and weather dependent, can be still seen several days later. This visibility gives operators - spraying large, critical or high-use areas - peace of mind that the sprayed area is noticeable.

Directions for use:
Shake well before use. Wearing gloves, add the measured amount of dye to water in the spray tank and mix well. Add chemical and/or wetting agent. Apply to areas requiring spray.
Notes: Follow safe chemical handling procedures and allow for chemical withholding periods. Spillages can cause some permanent discolouration.
Clean up:
Been There: Completely flush out spray canister and spray head with clean water.
Done That: Flush canister and spray head with water, then use soap and water to finish clean-up.
